C YALE UNIVERSITY – PAULI MURRY
AND BENJAMIN FRANKLIN COLLEGES
DSEE Group Inc. was chosen to carry out the Foundation and
Structural Concrete work for the New Residential Colleges,
Pauli Murray and Benjamin Franklin, at Yale University in
New Haven, CT. These Collegiate Gothic structures, designed
by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, span approximately 530,000
square feet and accommodate 800 students, with a focus on
preserving the architectural spirit of Yale's existing
residential colleges.
The project's architectural complexity, combined with the non-rectangular property footprint, resulted in a Cast-in-Place Concrete Building with numerous angular features and minimal repetition. DSEE Group Inc.'s work involved placing around 20,000 cubic yards of concrete and installing 2,000 tons of reinforcing steel. Throughout the project, DSEE Group Inc. collaborated closely with Yale University and the Project Construction and Design Teams to successfully realize their vision.
DSEE Group Inc. self-performed all aspects of its scope of work while working in close coordination with the entire project team. Despite the aggressive project schedule, DSEE Group Inc. ensured a safe, successful, and timely completion of this challenging project.
